Board
Academic Libraries North (ALN) is governed by its Board. Two representatives from each institution may be members of the ALN Board. The representatives will normally be senior colleagues with significant responsibility for library services.
The Board meets a minimum of three times a year, at least one of which aims to be face to face. An Annual General Meeting (AGM) is also held annually in the autumn. At the AGM, the board agrees priorities, activities, the annual budget, subscription levels and the composition of the Steering Group following nominations/elections.
Board meetings consist of elements of leadership development and awareness raising, along with necessary business for the progression of Academic Libraries North.
A quorum of one third of representatives is required at meetings where resolutions are made. In any election or vote, only one vote per institution is allowed.
