Face to face meetings to be held at least once per year - each meeting or workshop will be chaired and hosted at a different member library

To explore initiatives which would demonstrate the value and impact of Library services relating to institutional goals and sector wide rankings and assessments, and which enhance the experience of our customers

To act as an advisory group for Academic Libraries North projects as required by the ALN Steering Group
Chair:
The Chair will be from among the group members, and will serve for a minimum of 12 months and a maximum of 3 years. Where appropriate, a vice chair may also be appointed. The group is chaired by Harriet Davidson (University of Sunderland) and Julie Cleverley (Leeds Beckett University).
Membership:
Staff from academic libraries within ALN with responsibility for / interest in value and impact activities

Reporting to Steering Group – the group will report to the ALN Steering group in October each year, using the templates provided on Google Drive.

Work plans for the following SIG year should be submitted in October.

Lifetime of the group – on-going.

Frequency of meetings - to be held at least twice per year

Schedule of meetings - the group will meet in January each year to draft a work plan for submission to the NC steering group.

Collaboration: links with external groups e.g. SCONUL, other ALN groups e.g conference group.

Dissemination of information: Reports to SG, Learning Exchanges, ALN Conference, ALN website etc.
